Linguaglossa
Our adventure starts from the mountain hut on Etna at an altitude of 1400mt. and we will start our descent passing through lava gravel and vineyards until we reach the historic village of Linguaglossa. Linguaglossa is typical for the production of wine, hazelnuts and for its geographical location, located a stone’s throw from the sea and two from the top of the highest volcano in Europe: Mount Etna.
Castiglione di Sicilia
We continue to Castiglione di Sicilia, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Castiglione di Sicilia is an obligatory stop to admire its medieval castle where we can dominate the whole Alcantara valley from above. We continue the Alcantara quad excursion until we reach the icy waters of the river. Here we admire its spectacular fund of basalt columnar millenary excavated by the flowing waters of the river. Then we admire the traditional Byzantine church of the 7th century “Byzantine Cuba” surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
Lava of 1923
To go back up again to the refuge we walk along paths through the hazelnut groves until we reach a stretch of lava that dates back to 1923, particular because it was the last eruption that threatened the village of Linguaglossa. Along this path between the scent of brooms and the view of the majestic volcano Etna we will drive the quads on the Mareneve to return to the starting point.
All our quad bike tours take place off-road and completely outdoors, we organize departures in small groups so that we can maintain the safety regulations and make you enjoy the experience to the fullest.
